Protective Styling Help

At Rest? I don't understand!

I'm referring to setting your hair in a style which can be worn for an entire week without  constant manipulation, i.e (combing, brushing, gelling, flat-iron).

For a better visual Look at this picture :

The Rope on the left is worn and old similar to the ends of your hair which is why Mositurizing & sealing the hair at least every other day is so critical!

The Rope on the Right is new, Un-used and well preserved in order for it to stay that way it must not be used frequently, the same principles apply to the way you would care for your own hair to preserve it.

That Sounds Like Alot of Work..I Don't have time to do That!!

Yes, Unfortunately that is the attitude of a lot of our sista's when it comes to our own hair care.

Shockingly these same women have no problem paying $1,000 dollars on weave and Lace-Fronts Yearly!

I say to those women and the ones who do have the time to invest in their own hair care, If the hair that you are buying is actually human hair, Notice which Region the hair is coming from.
Poor Under-developed Nations, In which a braid or a ponytail is the only available hairstyle, there is no flat-iron or hair damaging chemicals.

Similar to dreadlocks, if hair is left alone and only handled as needed, then it can only do one thing, Grow!!

(Do worry i'm getting to the point)

Yes, I understand she isn't Black however, you have missed the point. The weave that  most of us have brought to add  to our own hair in some point in our lives is well preserved hair. That's right,  the rate of hair growth is about the same no matter what the race or nationality you are. The length is just lost or maintained by what you and only you do to your hair!

 Preserve The Hair!!

Speak English!!

When our hair is in a sew-weave, done correctly i.e. not to tight or left in too long (over 2 months) and properly moisturized,  It's being preserved!! That's why its longer, that's why it grew.

I'm currently not wearing a weave. I am still learning to care for my own hair which is why I can provide all this wonderful information to you!

I'll be adding my own personal hair growth pictures very soon!
